Welcome to the 2024 Spring Youth Development Soccer Season with Orono Westonka Soccer Club!
The Orono Westonka Soccer Youth Development Program (YDP) is for players 2 - 8 years old looking for a soccer experience that emphasizes participation, learning and fun. Our program offers youth players the opportunity to learn the skills, techniques and rules of soccer in a fun and healthy environment.
OWSC relies on volunteer parent coaches for all of our YDP teams. Please consider volunteering to coach your child's team - you can sign up in the registration. No experience is needed - training plans and resources are provided for all coaches!
***If your player has a birth year of 2015 you will need to register your player for OWSC Travel (Competitive) Soccer. Find out more information HERE.
Key Dates
- Uniform Pick Up (All ages, All players): Wednesday, May 1st, 4-7PM @ Welu Real Estate Training Center (5314 Shoreline Drive Mound)
*You can also pick up your uniform at the first practice
- Season Begins: May 4th (No DA games on 5/4 - practices start May 8th & 9th with first games on May 11)
**NO SOCCER OVER MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND**
- End of Season Jamboree: The season ends Saturday, June 22nd with a fun-filled Jamboree to celebrate with your teammates. In addition to games, there are fun activities and treats on site!
MINIS (2 & 3 Year Olds)

Equipment
All players will need:
• Shin guards are REQUIRED for ALL players. Shin guards MUST be completely covered by long socks.
• Shorts or sweatpants may be worn. (Dress appropriately for the weather.)
• Tennis shoes or soccer cleats may be worn.
• All players are encouraged to bring a size 3 ball to practice and games.
• Water bottle
